“Are you serving out of delight or duty?” - @Jenny Young Burnout is something we can all experience, and serving out of a sense of duty can lead to exhaustion in ministry. For many, the desire to serve everyone can lead to neglecting themselves, resulting in a feeling of being unseen. For CEDE Sports Coach, Jenny Young, she often struggled with self-worth in her ministry. As a single woman, she was always prepared to stay late so others could go home to their families. Even though she loved doing it, the delight of serving was gone as her self-worth was intertwined with serving. 1 John 3:1 says, “We are children of God,” and there is nothing that can take that away.
