Not all storms are the same !!! I recently came back from a vacation to Cali. It was a really good time but I was ready to come home. My flight was one of the casualties of the Global outage and my flight was canceled. They rescheduled me for two days later not now it was 3 flights/4 airports/ 17 hours later I be home. This was irritant but at least I had a plan to get home. So I went on my first flight landing in Vegas they were canceling flights like crazy. My flight was one that was not. But there were many people stuck and were trying to figure out things. This is where this message came from. There was a young lady who was crying, cussing and complaining over the phone to someone. She was upset more about her not knowing where the bag was more than her flight being canceled. Complaining how valuable the items in the box were and all she wanted was her bag. This lasted more than 20 minutes. I really wanted to say something to her but never got the chance. On the flight home I started thinking about this situation and God really showed me that although what she was going through was not a big issue (storm) in my eyes; it was in fact a big storm with her. This led me to thinking about the people within our ministry reach and the issues each of them have, the storms they are or will be facing and how they approach them. We minister to them walking alongside them through each storm like our loving father does with us. She shouldn’t short change anyone’s storm (be it small or huge in our eyes)as we do not fully know their story or what is happening always but we do know a Father who will never leave or forsake them and Jesus will be with them through every storm. Like when Peter walked on water until he relied on his own strength and cried out to Jesus to save him. This lady’s storm was different than mine an we thought about storms differently but our Jesus never changes and this is what she needed to know and the people in our ministries need to know. Jesus is the same!
