My name is Ken Cross and this is my attempt to introduce myself. It reminds me of a dear lady in a Church I pastored in San Jose California. She would make sure all of her 3 & 4 year olds in her class would call her Mable. One of the parents asked her why not Mrs. Coates. Mable said, “They would forget that quickly and then start describing me as the fat, old lady with crazy hair – Mable works best for me!”   So call me Ken – and I am old, fat and bald. I am the husband of Lynn for 40 years and we have five grown children that have given us six grandchildren so far – hopefully many more to come! I enjoy hunting and Alabama football.   Presently, I am a mentor with CEDE SPORTS for sports ministers in local churches and am on the chaplain team at Joe Gibbs Racing. I have pastored, planted churches … for over 40 years. Previously I had the privilege to be the team chaplain for a decade each at Queens University and Charlotte University here in Charlotte.   Look for me at the next REACH Gathering. I would love to get to know you!
